Our Center has a team of experienced and certified fitness professionals who are responsible for familiarizing all new members with the concepts and practices of fitness with our New Member Experience appointments. Every new member is entitled to receive two complimentary 1- hr appointments with a fitness specialist to help start them on the road to a healthier and fit lifestyle. Your specialist will review with you the important elements of a fitness program including cardio vascular exercise, strength training and nutrition.
PREPARING FOR YOUR NEW MEMBER EXPERIENCE
We want you to receive the most out of your initial two appointments with your Fitness Specialist. In order to ensure that you are receiving the greatest benefit from these appointments, we recommend the following guidelines:
- Wear comfortable workout clothing.
- Wear comfortable, closed athletic sneakers
- Do not consume caffeine within a 1 to 2 hour period prior to your appointment
- Make sure you are adequately hydrated
- Eat a light meal or snack 1 or 2 hours prior to your appointment
- Do not workout or do any strenuous activity prior to your appointment
1st Appointment: - Heart Smart
Your first appointment will take approximately 60 minutes. Your Fitness Specialist will review your health status profile, which was filled out when you joined the club. This will help to assess your current physical condition. You will also be asked to perform a fitness assessment in the areas of blood pressure, body composition, flexibility, and aerobic capacity. Your Fitness Specialists will then assist you in setting fitness goals and explain the various program options available to reach your goals. We will also introduce you to the cardiovascular equipment in the center as well as proper stretching techniques.
2nd Appointment: - A Stronger You
During the second appointment your Fitness Specialist will revisit your goals and design your Resistance Training program. You will learn the proper form and techniques for Resistance Training, set your correct seat adjustments and starting weight. Some of the benefits of Resistance Training are:
